Let Life Surprise You
Sometimes we think we know exactly how things will go.
We make quiet assumptions -- about people, places, experiences. We decide what we’ll like, who we’ll click with, what will be “worth it.” We build stories in our minds before the moment even arrives.
But sometimes… life surprises us.
Sometimes that person we thought we’d have nothing in common with ends up saying something that sticks with us. That event we almost didn’t go to opens up a whole new path. That hobby we thought wasn’t “our thing” becomes something we actually enjoy.
But we only get to those moments by trying.
By giving ourselves the chance to lean into something unfamiliar, or to be a little open when we’d rather shut it down.
When we stop assuming we already know everything, life gets so much more interesting! We begin to notice nuance. We become more curious. More playful. We start to experience life, rather than pre-judging it.
Let life surprise you.
Let people surprise you.
Let you surprise you.
Not everything will be a perfect fit. Some things will fall flat.
But every now and then, something clicks in a way you never saw coming.
And those moments? They’re magic.
What's one small way you can let life surprise you this week?
