Progress Over Perfection, Always
Life is not about being perfect. Not even close. But so many of us get stuck there, waiting until we’re “ready,” until we have all the answers, until we feel 100% confident. But here’s the thing-that day may never come. And in the meantime? We’re just standing still, talking ourselves out of things, convincing ourselves we’re not good enough because we’re not flawless.
Well, flawlessness is not the goal. The real goal? To show up. To take accountability when needed, to be open to learning, to try, to adjust, and to keep moving forward. Growth doesn’t happen in the planning stage, it happens in the doing.
You’re not supposed to get everything right on the first try. Or the second. Or maybe even the tenth. That’s not failure, that’s LEARNING. Don’t let yourself stand still because you're too afraid to start.
Think about it. We don’t learn by getting everything right the first time. We learn by messing up, tweaking, and trying again. That requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to loosen the grip on control and let the process teach us instead of trying to force an outcome.
What if, instead of obsessing over getting it all “right,” you shifted your focus to the experience? To being present, learning, and just doing your best? That’s where the good stuff happens. That’s where life actually feels like something, instead of just another checklist of things to perfect.
So, take the step. Try the thing. Let go of the need to be perfect, and just focus on being “in it.”. You’ll be amazed at what you learn when you stop waiting to get it “right” and just start LIVING.
